On September 10, Grohl took to Instagram to reveal that he had recently welcomed a new daughter — but not with his wife, Jordyn Blum.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote, acknowledging the challenge ahead in regaining his family’s trust. “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

However, it wasn’t just Grohl who felt the impact of the news. His two daughters, Violet, 18, and Harper, 15, seem to have responded by deactivating their Instagram accounts, perhaps in an effort to retreat from the public eye.

Violet, previously attracted a massive 225,000 followers under the username “viioletgrohl,” and Harper, with over 40,000 followers as “harpergrohll.” As of this writing, they have both disappeared from the social media world.

A search for their profiles now leaves fans with a simple message, “page not found.” Violet’s account reportedly went blank just an hour after Grohl’s announcement. It’s unclear when Harper followed suit.

In the wake of Grohl’s recent confession, many fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment. One user openly shared their dismay, writing, “This is really disappointing. I know people aren’t perfect and make mistakes, but it’s just one more that proves how few take marriage vows seriously.”

The person went on to criticize the ripple effect Grohl’s actions have had on his family, stating, “Now a family is torn apart because of it. No matter what you say, kids are never the same after this.”

Other netizens struggled to comprehend why Grohl would risk so much. One user questioned, “Imagine a man who has it all – money, fame, house, family, and such a beautiful wife – and he still betray her the worst ever.[sic]”

They continued to express their frustration, arguing that Grohl’s claim of love for his wife didn’t match his actions. According to the user, Grohl’s statement about loving his wife while cheating on her was contradictory and lacked sincerity.

The user suggested that cheating and fathering a child outside his marriage was a deep betrayal, showing a complete lack of understanding of love and respect for his family.

Grohl and Jordyn Blum have shared over two decades of marriage. Their relationship began in 2001 when the Foo Fighters frontman first met the model and TV producer at LA’s Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar.

Two years later, on August 2, 2003, the couple tied the knot, embarking on a journey that would lead to the birth of their three daughters.

Their eldest, Violet, born in 2006, has clearly inherited her father’s musical talents. In a special moment during the 2023 Glastonbury Festival, Grohl introduced Violet on stage, describing her as his “favorite singer in the world.”

He mentioned that they would perform “Show Me How,” a song he had written for his mother, Violet’s grandmother, which appeared on their latest album, “But Here We Are.”

As the performance ended, Grohl reportedly shouted with pride, calling Violet “his girl” and humorously added that he loved being on stage with his daughter, even when he hit a bad note.
