Mike Tyson is set to face YouTuber Jake Paul in a highly anticipated boxing match this November, despite lingering doubts and health concerns. The fight, originally scheduled for July, was postponed after Tyson, 58, experienced a flare-up of an ulcer. This delay has raised questions about whether the bout will actually happen, especially given the 30-year age gap between Tyson and the 26-year-old Paul, and Tyson’s two-decade hiatus from professional boxing, aside from an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr.

Despite these concerns, Tyson remains adamant that the fight will go on. In a recent interview with FOX40 News, he defiantly told his skeptics, “Bet your life on it.” The boxing legend expressed his excitement for the upcoming bout, saying, “This is something that ignites me. It just gives me life… It’s just me doing what I want to do.”

Tyson made it clear that his decision to fight is deeply personal and not influenced by anyone else’s opinions, including those of his family. “Forget everybody else. Forget if they wish I’d lose, win… it’s about me doing what I want to do,” he stated. He also acknowledged his own awareness of the risks involved, saying, “Is that my ego? I don’t care if my health is risked; it’s just who I am. They knew I was that way before they married me. They knew I was that way when I had them, and I’m always going to test myself.”

Tyson, who has been preparing diligently for the fight, remains confident in his ability to defeat Paul. He boldly predicted, “As soon as I catch this guy, it’s over. Jake Paul is going to be running around the ring, but as soon as I catch him, it’s going to be totally over.” The former heavyweight champion, despite his recent health scare, feels ready to step back into the ring, declaring, “I’m very prepared to knock out Jake Paul. I had a small adversity, I got sick, but I feel good. I’m just ready to fight.”
